Merry Christmas From Poland

For to us a child has been born, to us a son has been given. The government shall be on His shoulders and He shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Shoebox Appeal

So Christmas has arrived for our team and also marks two weeks of outreach so far in Poland. What have we been doing these past two weeks? We have met, talked to people on the streets, handed out food for the homeless and prayed for and spent time with the elderly. We have handed out Christmas boxes for children, shared our testimonies in church youth groups and attended anti-trafficking meetings.

But most of all we have made amazing friendships, whether through people at church, baking cookies with kids, or chatting with international students at English club.
God has really been working, and through everything we have been involved in we have been able to share His love and His joy with the people around us, touching many lives as a result.
Praying for the elderly

This Christmas has been particularly special. Arriving in Poland just before Christmas we have been able to share with people what Christmas means to us. Why is this child, born in a stable, laid in a manger so important? And is it even true? It was wonderful to be able to share Christmas Eve with a number of international students, some of whom would have been alone otherwise for Christmas. 25 of us, from about 15 different nations, different cultures and backgrounds, joined together to share a meal at our apartment. It was an amazing picture of unity and reminded us of how we are all welcome at the table of Jesus. That He is the best gift at Christmas and His sacrifice is for everyone.
Christmas Eve Dinner

As a team we are all thankful for God's abundant blessing this Christmas season. We are confident that with the seeds we have sown that we will "reap a harvest if we do not give up." (Galatians 6:9) Please pray that the relationships we have formed will continue to grow and that we will see fruit out of those relationships. That we would continue to set a strong foundation not only for our time in Poland but the future of Youth With A Mission in Poland. Also although we have seen many miracles in our DTS with visas being granted that would otherwise have been impossible to obtain, we are still waiting for a visa to Albania for one of our team. So please pray that would be granted swiftly.

Thank you as always for your support and prayers, and we wish you a very Merry Christmas and every blessing for the New Year ahead,

The Poland and Albania Outreach team :-)
